Water. A topic that gets people buzzing from all over Wisconsin. Water experts from Wisconsin and the Midwest have gathered together to present in Wisconsin’s Water Future, a workshop hosted by the Wisconsin Humanities Council at the Pyle Center.

Madison lakes, water inspire local writers

In texts going all the way back to the Bible, water appeared frequently in literature as metaphorical and physical entities. Water forms the sea in Homer’s The Odyssey, Jay Gatsby dies by gunshot while swimming in his pool. It symbolizes new life, connects lovers and fuels life.
